MANIFESTO: MEMORY RISING
We declare the following:
1. We reject the story that Indigenous America vanished. Its descendants live, breathe, and carry memory in their bones.
2. We reject the labels enforced by colonial systems. They were designed to erase identity, not describe it.
3. We reject the narrative that Black Americans are rootless. They are heirs to one of the world’s oldest civilizations.
4. We choose evidence over myth. We follow documents, patterns, land, language, and lineage wherever they lead.
5. We honor the ancestors who were silenced, renamed, or displaced. Their story returns through us.
6. We restore the memory that institutions attempted to destroy. Because memory is power, property, inheritance, and belonging.
7. We walk the Seven Rs. We investigate, reconnect, rebuild, reveal, remember, revere, and recover.
8. We know that the old civilization is not gone. It sleeps beneath the asphalt and survives in the blood of its descendants.
9. We commit to reconstructing what was lost. Not as relic, but as living culture.
10. We stand on a simple truth:
Memoria Vincit Oblivionem — Memory Conquers Forgetting.
This is our manifesto. This is our work. This is memory rising.
